What are these long-term care services?

Now, why do people need long-term care?
In one’s lifetime, statistics show that about 70% of people age 65 or older will require long-term care. The probability of requiring long-term care might increase due to life events that are inevitable due to the following:
- Age
- Death of a loved one (partner or spouse)
- Disability or chronic illnesses
With these conditions we simply can’t fend and take care of ourselves. Illnesses don’t just heal in one to two days—not even a week. For an average person, long term care services are needed for about 2-5 years.

Custodial care is basically a personal, non-medical assistance provided to help a person with his/her daily living activities. At Detty Home Care Service our custodial care services are ready to cater to your needs. Assistance in wound care and therapies such as physical therapy, speech therapy and even occupational therapy won’t be a problem. You don’t have to go outside of your homes to avail these services because we give and deliver these services right at your home.
Long Term Care Insurance
Individuals who require long-term care are generally not sick in the traditional sense, but instead, are unable to perform the basic activities of daily living (ADLs) without assistance. Activities such as dressing, bathing, eating, toileting, continence, transferring (getting in and out of a bed or chair), and walking are only some of the many concerns as a client. Many Long Term Care Insurance policies will cover some or all of the costs of home care. Detty Home Care Service will verify your policy benefit, submit all necessary documentation and follow up with the insurance company to ensure correct payments are sent out. In most cases, Detty Home Care Service will accept Assignment of Benefits for direct payment from the insurance company and send you a bill (if any) after the payment is applied to your account.
